First Kiss
As your full lips first gently caressed mine,
We slipped from the grips of place and of time,
The sensual thrill of being lost in you,
Removed from this world all but we two.
Exploring, elating, thirsting, quenchless fervor,
Our breaths rhythmic, wanting this forever,
How could such overflowing passion exist,
By lips merely touching, by just being kissed.
That moment, long ago, still sharp in my mind,
Stands stark amongst all that lay precious I find,
Cherished, it lives, by my heart very close,
A few minutes of bliss, which I love the most.
