Hell Hath No Fury
.
I poke these pins into this doll,
To make that man just scream and yowl,
He has never even flinched,
I’ve not seen signs, he does not wince.
I went downtown and bought a cat,
It was very black and fat.
I sent it cross his path one day,
Darned if now they both don’t play!
I put some pennies upside down,
Underneath that sleeping clown.
He woke that morning quite refreshed,
I could not sleep, you might have guessed.
I waited till the thirteenth day
For him to watch the games and lay.
Then fed him chocolate laxative,
Now I help the plumper live.
I’d like to meet the one who wrote,
“Hell hath no fury …”, What a dolt.
I found a better plan to hatch,
Just bolt the door and set the latch.
