Mother Forest at Winter's Dawn
Mother Forest,
How lovingly you swaddle the earth;
Sewing Fall colors as a glorious quilt,
Giving comfort to our Winter's worries.
In your arms we are safe and at peace.
Woodland Matron Dear,
Please sing us sweet soothing songs,
Of Spring's promise and new birth forthcoming;
Rustling melodies that whisper,
Of lasting tomorrows and fond memories.
